Pokémon cards at Tesco, Asda and UK supermarkets
Supermarkets sell Pokémon cards in store, often near the toys or by the tills. Here’s what to expect, and how to hear about stock near you.
Tesco
Many larger Tesco stores sell Pokémon TCG packs, blisters and tins. Tesco’s website also lists products from other sellers on its marketplace, including Chinese-language imports, so check who is selling it and the language before you buy.
Asda
Asda sells Pokémon cards in many of its stores. Check the toy aisle.
Sainsbury’s
Many Sainsbury’s stores have an Argos inside, so you can order from Argos’ Pokémon range and collect it there. Argos guide.
Costco UK
Costco sometimes sells Pokémon bundles you won’t find in other shops, but you need a Costco membership to buy there.
Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, B&M and others
Stock varies a lot from store to store and week to week, so the best guide is what other collectors have just seen on the shelves.
What you’ll usually find
- Single booster packs and sleeved boosters
- 3-pack blisters and checklane blisters, which are made to hang by the tills
- Tins and mini tins
- Sometimes Elite Trainer Boxes and collection boxes
How Galar Alerts helps
Members post what they find in store with /spotted, for example “Tesco Extra, Leeds: 3 Elite Trainer Boxes”. It goes to #community-store-sightings and pings everyone with the 🏪 In-Store Alerts role. Asda, Sainsbury’s and Costco UK have their own channels too.
Before you buy, check the price against the UK RRP guide.
