Sports Direct Pokémon cards: the 30th Anniversary drop, restock and what’s in store

Quick answer: Sports Direct sells Pokémon cards in store, not online. Its next 30th Anniversary drop is expected on Friday 30 October 2026: collectors report 30th Celebration Booster Bundles, Mini Tins and the Greninja ex and Sylveon ex Boxes, and the new 30th Celebration Battle Decks come out that day. Sports Direct hasn’t announced it itself. The 30th Anniversary UPC and Delta Reign follow on Friday 6 November. Stores usually open at 9am (some at 8am).

When is the Sports Direct Pokémon drop? Friday 30 October

The next Sports Direct Pokémon drop is expected on Friday 30 October 2026. Collectors who follow the UK drops reported it on 19 and 21 October, and it lines up with an official date: Pokémon’s 30th Celebration Battle Decks come out in the UK that day.

Sports Direct itself hasn’t announced it, so treat it as a strong heads-up rather than a promise. It follows the Sports Direct 30th Anniversary restock collectors flagged on Friday 16 October.

What’s in store at Sports Direct: the 30th Anniversary drop list

This is what collectors expect on the shelves at Sports Direct on 30 October. Not every store gets every product, and stock varies by store, so check your local one before you travel.

The UK RRP is the official UK price. If a shop or a reseller asks a lot more, our free Discord’s alerts show the price next to the UK RRP and how far over it is.

Sports Direct 30th Anniversary UPC and Delta Reign: Friday 6 November

A week later comes the big one. The 30th Anniversary UPC (the 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection, £169.99 for the Day or the Night box) is due at Sports Direct and Smyths on Friday 6 November. UK shops have been told some of their stock arrives later, in three waves, so not every store will have it on day one.

Expect long queues for the UPC: our 30th Anniversary UPC queue guide has the timings and what to bring. Sports Direct is also on the list of shops stocking Delta Reign, the new set out the same day: see our Delta Reign release day guide.

What time does Sports Direct open on drop day?

Most Sports Direct stores open at 9am, and some at 8am, so check your own store’s hours before you go. On a busy drop day the queue starts well before the doors open.

Most stores hand out numbered tickets in queue order before opening, so you keep your place: look after yours.

For the biggest drops people queue from the night before. Our Pokémon queue guide covers when to arrive and what to bring.

Does Sports Direct sell Pokémon cards online?

No: Sports Direct sells Pokémon cards in its stores. A 30th Celebration page appeared on Sports Direct’s website on 16 October but never went on sale, and when we last checked the website, on 25 October, the only Pokémon item on it was a kids’ T-shirt.

So you can’t check a store’s card stock online. Ring your local store, or watch our free Discord, where members post the stores they’ve found stock in.

Is there a limit on Pokémon cards at Sports Direct?

Sports Direct hasn’t published a limit for the 30 October drop. If a store sets one, it’s usually given out on the day, so ask when you get your ticket. We add the limit to our alert as soon as anyone reports one.

Does GAME in Sports Direct sell Pokémon cards?

Yes. Some Sports Direct stores have a GAME shop inside (the Sports Direct in Barnet has a GAME sign on the same building), and GAME sells Pokémon cards too: it’s one of the shops stocking Delta Reign on 6 November. On a drop day it’s worth checking both.

How often does Sports Direct restock Pokémon cards?

There’s no fixed schedule, and Sports Direct doesn’t announce its Pokémon restocks. This month collectors have flagged 30th Anniversary restocks on 16 October and 30 October, and the UPC and Delta Reign land on 6 November. Our Discord posts each one the moment it’s reported.
