What does PSA 10 mean? Gem Mint, and what a card needs to get one
PSA 10 is the highest grade PSA gives: Gem Mint. A PSA 10 card is virtually perfect, and that’s why PSA 10s often sell for far more than the same card in a PSA 9.

Quick answer: PSA 10 means Gem Mint: a virtually perfect card with sharp corners, clean edges, a clean surface and centering of 55/45 or better on the front and 75/25 on the back. A PSA 9 (Mint) allows one minor flaw and 60/40 centering on the front.

What a card needs for a PSA 10
- Centering 55/45 or better on the front, 75/25 on the back.
- Four sharp corners, front and back.
- Clean edges: no white specks or chips.
- A clean surface: at most a slight print imperfection.
PSA 9 vs PSA 10
A PSA 9 (Mint) allows one minor flaw, such as a tiny white speck, and centering up to 60/40 on the front. That one speck is often the whole difference, and the price gap between a 9 and a 10 can be large.
